Case Study #1 - Creating a New Brand and Strategy for Start–up
The Challenge
A client approached Jaxon Marketing. They were in the early stages of setting up a new business which assists parents with helping their children through
the learning process of reading, writing, and doing mathematics. We were starting with a blank piece of paper. We needed to develop a brand, positioning statement, website, and marketing communications material.
We began by holding a strategy workshop with the stakeholder in the new business. We worked through the objectives and target market. We developed a positioning statement and a set of key messages that spoke directly to the target market. We then developed a creative brief to develop a name, look and feel for the brand.
The next stage was to find the best website design team to fulfill the brief. Excite Media in Brisbane were chosen for their experience in content managed websites, shopping cart and design ability. We planned the website structure and content map. We worked with Excite Media to deliver a totally client managed website that enabled shopping cart and newsletter facilities to be added. The result was a brand and an image that the client loved, that they could see taking them well into the future and across a number of different markets.
We then moved on to developing the e-newsletter, shopping cart and public relations campaign.

Case Study #2 - Refreshing a Brand Identity
ABGAL specialises in producing vinyl pool liners for inground and above ground swimming pools, tank and dam liners, pool covers, solar blankets, and shade sails. Founded by Alan Long, ABGAL was established in 1976 and now sells pool liner and covers throughout the world.
Marketing Challenge
Although highly successful and enjoying sustained growth, management of ABGAL is acutely aware of the need to maintain and increase their market presence. The pool industry is highly competitive with new overseas players increasingly moving into the market. ABGAL approached Jaxon Marketing with the aim of updating their brand, reviewing their marketing material, positioning within the market, releasing new products to market and to increase and strengthen their retail presence.
The Process
Jaxon Marketing reviewed all marketing literature and campaigns. From the research it was apparent that a) the brand identity of 1976 required updating to reflect the values of the company and modern era, b) each piece of marketing literature was different therefore not reflecting a strong brand identity, message and retail presence and c) website opportunities were not being utilised. A strong new brand was developed and rolled out into new retail marketing material, website design, training videos, newsletter, sales processes, press releases, and tradeshows.
Jaxon Marketing also provided professional guidance with the launch of Shade Sails and Cricket Pitch covers. New product brochures, price lists, software program, and photography were completed.
The Results
The updated branding and marketing material proved highly successful for ABGAL. More presence in retail which lead to increased sales were achieved, stronger sales in the wholesale market were achieved with the help of the training videos and software program, new product releases created additional sales and the tradeshows led to an increase in customer enquiries.

Case Study #3 - Outsourced Marketing Manager
Marketing Challenge
Sunshine Kebabs is a dynamic fast food kebab franchisor based in Brisbane which has been operating for two years. They began operation in Bundaberg and although they had nine company stores and were strong QLD regionally, the focus was to promote their business in Brisbane region, open up to 35 stores between 2007 and 2008 nationally and attract new franchisees to their company.
The Process
Following an initial meeting and a marketing plan was developed and implemented. The plan consisted of regional television, metropolitan radio, newspaper advertising, letterbox campaigns, public relations, in store promotions, staff training, creative concepts, tradeshows, franchisee induction programs, retail promotions, supplier programs, sponsorships, website transfer, store launch plans, and new product launches.
